Moving Foward

Hello from the ones that don't blog that often,

We are just settling in the new house trying to grasp the reality of the payment. We were lucky to have had free rent in Washington. The job for Scott is going well and Annalee loves staying home with "The Ben". We are waiting for Ben's sisters to arrive sometime in the future, but not any news yet. Hope all is well with you.

MOVED AGAIN!!

Just wanted to let you all know that we moved to Utah again. We searched long and hard to find a place in Washington but alas we were lead back to Utah. Family is here and the job is a great one. I work for Lindquist Mortuaries in Ogden, and it is working out well. We got a town house in Roy, it is close to work about ten minuets. We love it here and the kitchen, well it is why we got the house. We will post soon. Scott

The First Three Days

Fun with cousins!

Ryland and Kiana came for a visit, and boy did we have fun! Ben was so excited to see them at the airport. We came home and had "sea-monsters" for dinner. We told them on the ride home that that was what we were having for dinner. Ryland put up a fight (who wouldn't?) but Kiana politely said, "I'll try it, but if I don't like it I would like something else to eat." Funny Funny! Well, much to their relief, "sea-monster" turned out to be hot dogs cut up like and octopus. They all had a fun time playing around. Especially jumping on the bed and hiding under the covers.....thus the picture of Ben up-side down. We also took a train ride up to Mt. Hood. We all really enjoyed that! The scenery was beautiful! It was sunny, but cold....as evidenced by Scott's picture. We had a great time anyway!

Things That Grow

It was one thing I have always wanted to do, slosh in the mud. I do not think it was so much the mud that made this trip so fun as it was seeing the great inspiring eyes of Annalee. She glanced with that smile of pure gratitude that such flowers were created as though they were created just for her. It was an event that helped me to understand why she wants so many of the great Holland flowers everywhere in our yard, pending we have a house, and if not, then pots for the 100 bulbs we bought.

Parenting Moments

We went to the beach at Seaside, OR over spring break thinking that "The Beach, Warm!" HAHAHA! We were driving back from Seattle in a great snow storm. The snow was a freak thing this late in the season, and to our amazement it was snowing all the way from Seattle to the beach. Needless to say it was not warm in the slightest. Ben came over to us after running after the seagulls and said "...too cold go to Ben's' car get 'woime' (warm). Dad go to Ben's' house too cold..." and started to walk off. In the post prior I commented on how it takes thousands of pictures to get the one that you need, well this was one of the times when the picture came the first time, it captures the urgency of the situation. This has become my favorite picture of Ben as it reflects his need for my protection as his father.

Way Too Cute!!

Why does it take 300 pictures to get one that works? It is funny to hear Annalee say "Ben over here, no you silly say cheese, not that way right here at the camera...." Then we have all theese pictures that mean nothing to you, but mean the world to us. Good thing we have digital cameras now, could you imagine the cost of film?
